Our Mission Statement:

The Green Garden is a Portland, Oregon-based business that started five years ago by Jill Matthews. For several years before that, Matthews was involved in the commercial landscaping and gardening industry, and she wanted to put some of her own ideas regarding earth-friendly, ecological gardening into practice. As a result, she started The Green Garden on her own with just a pickup truck along with some old-fashioned ingenuity, and she single-handedly built a clientele.
